Megan joined the RAW: Real Actuarial Women a podcast by the Network of Actuarial Women and Allies (NAWA) for a powerful conversation titled “Giving Back Through Leadership.” 

In the episode, Megan reflects on her career journey, the importance of mentorship, and the impact of compassionate leadership. She shares how reporting to a woman chief actuary early in her career was a formative experience, and how women leaders have helped pave the way for her own growth. 

Seeing leaders lead with compassion and empathy has helped her grow in confidence. Megan emphasizes “people learn in different ways and being able to adapt to that allows them to grow.” 

Megan also discusses the value of building a personal support system encouraging others to “get a support system in place—your own personal ‘board of directors.’ Surround yourself with mentors who are in your corner both personally and professionally.”
